Trigonometry Calculator
Find sin, cos or tan of an angle in degrees.
What is a trigonometry calculator?
A trigonometry calculator finds sin, cos or tan of an angle. Example: sin(30°) = 0.5.
How to use it
Choose sin, cos or tan, enter an angle in degrees, then tap Calculate.
Formula
In a right triangle, sin = opposite ÷ hypotenuse, cos = adjacent ÷ hypotenuse, and tan = opposite ÷ adjacent. Angles are entered in degrees and converted to radians first: radians = degrees × π ÷ 180.
Example
First convert degrees to radians: 30° = 30 × π ÷ 180 = 0.5236 radians. Then sin(0.5236) = 0.5. Other useful values: cos(60°) = 0.5 and tan(45°) = 1.
