How to use it
Enter a number, choose its From base, then tap Convert. To convert back, enter a binary, octal or hex value and choose that base.
Formula
Binary uses only 0 and 1, octal uses digits 0 to 7, and hexadecimal uses digits 0 to 9 plus letters A to F (A = 10, B = 11, C = 12, D = 13, E = 14, F = 15). Each place value is a power of the base.
Example
Decimal 255 = Binary 11111111 = Octal 377 = Hexadecimal FF. Check: 128 + 64 + 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 255, and F = 15, so FF = 15 × 16 + 15 = 255.
