Distance and Midpoint Calculator
Distance between two points and their midpoint.
What is a distance and midpoint calculator?
A distance and midpoint calculator finds how far apart two points are and the point halfway between them. Example: (1,2) and (4,6) are 5 apart, with midpoint (2.5, 4).
How to use it
Enter two points, then tap Calculate.
Formula
Distance = √((x2−x1)² + (y2−y1)²). Midpoint = ((x1+x2) ÷ 2, (y1+y2) ÷ 2). For (1,2) and (4,6): distance = √(9 + 16) = √25 = 5, midpoint = (2.5, 4).
Example
Distance = √((4 − 1)² + (6 − 2)²) = √(9 + 16) = √25 = 5. Midpoint = ((1 + 4) ÷ 2, (2 + 6) ÷ 2) = (2.5, 4).
